Pauline Fazakerley trained for five years at Camberwell School of Art. She gained first class honours in her finals and the medal for Countrywide Best of Year. For six years she worked as a professional designer in theatre and films with companies like Hardy Amies and Zandra Rhodes. She then spent 11 years as Head of Art at a girl's school before resigning to devote herself full time to painting.Pauline has always believed in the fundamentals of good drawing and the effect of light in painting. Her subject matter is wide but most recently she has been particularly passionate about combination exterior/interior painting with or without the human figure, in light and shade. She also loves drawing and painting the old parts of London which are rapidly disappearing.Pauline is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and has been a regular exhibitor at their shows at the Mall Galleries. She also shows frequently at the Bankside Gallery with the Royal Watercolour Society.
