 Janet trained in Graphic Design in London but has now  lived for over 20 years in the Pennine hill village of Norland. The surrounding moorland and the nearby mill towns have been the major inspiration for her paintings. In 1995 Janet won the Daler Rowney Award for the best water-based painting. She has exhibited many times at RWS exhibitions and in 1997 was elected to the Royal Watercolour Society.
