Simon Laurie was born in 1964 in Glasgow. He studied at the Glasgow School of Fine Art for his BA between 1982 and 1987. He then spent another two years there gaining a Post Graduate Degree in Fine Art. His first solo exhibition was at The Mercury Gallery in 1991 - the same year he was elected a Member of the Royal Scottish Watercolourists. During the Nineties Simon participated in Group Exhibitions at the Tramway Gallery, New Academy and Flowers Gallery and had solo exhibitions at the Open Eye and Panter and Hall. This year  he is scheduled for further solo exhibitions at the Open Eye, Edinburgh and Panter and Hall, Mayfair. We are delighted that Simon is showing at the Manor House Gallery in this exhibition.
