Born in London in 1956 Ann studied and
lectured at Edinburgh College of Art. During her career, Ann Oram has won
many artistic awards, including The Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship
1981, The Largo Award 1981, The Andrew Grant Major Award 1981, and, most
recently, The May Marshall Brown Award from the Royal Scottish Society of
Painters in Water-colour.
She has exhibited at the Royal Academy and is
an elected member of the RSW. She has exhibited in major solo and group
shows in the UK and her work is in numerous collections worldwide.
Working in watercolour and oil often on a
large scale, sumptuous still lifes and sun drenched Mediterranean views are
achieved through her skill as a technician of colour.
